The Merge

On September 15th 2022, The Merge was executed. But what is it? How can blockchain news make its way up on the first page of the Financial Times? Well, according to Polygon’s co-founder, “This is the first step of a hugely changing Ethereum ecosystem” which sets the entire blockchain ecosystem on the right path for mass adoption.

Therefore, it is very important to understand what the Merge means and the reasons behind this shift of consensus mechanism. Understanding The Merge is a sneak peak into the future of finance, and an outlook on how the decentralised infrastructure of finance will be operating.
