About this Course

This course introduces the concept of innovation in large organisations, a.k.a Intrapreneurship, and how organisations can benefit from it. Furthermore, it identifies why Intrapreneurship is gaining momentum and the different aspects of entreprise innovation. Finally, it answers the question of who Intrapreneurship is suitable for.

Programme Curriculum

In this chapter, we will introduce the concept of innovating in large organisation, or Intrapreneurship for short. We will define what an Intrapreneur is and what role they play in a large organisation. We will then touch upon the entreprise innovation project life cycle and discuss different project outcomes.
In this chapter, we will look at the main driving factor of digital transformation and the fourth industrial revolution. We will also compare how the Intrapreneurship approach compares to other approaches of dealing with digital transformation, including M&As and Corporate Venture Capitalism.
In this chapter, we will investigate the categorisation of Intrapreneurship programmes. Specifically we will look into four catagories: the shiny new “Thing”, the CSR alibi, the missing bridge, and significant business impact.
