About this Course

In this course, you will explore some of the common challenges faced by organisations in moving data science and AI from a sandbox or pilot environment into an enterprise productionalised environment. You will discover how one can successfully deploy an enterprise and scalable AI in their operations.

A brief introduction to Data Science & Artificial Intelligence (DSAI) for decision making. In this chapter, we will touch on some foundational concepts and their relevance to business processes.
DSAI has a lot of moving parts. In this chapter, you will get familiar with all the key components that should be in the forefront of consideration for the operationalisation of AI in your business.
In this chapter, we will consolidate all the previous chapters together to showcase how to operationalize DSAI in a practical environment.

About the expert

David Hardoon

Senior Advisor, Union Bank of the Philippines
David is the Senior Advisor for Data and Artificial Intelligence at UnionBank Philippines. Concurrently David is an external advisor to Singapore’s Corrupt Investigation Practices Bureau (CPIB) in the capacity of Senior Advisor (Artificial Intelligence) and to Singapore’s Central Provident Fund Board (CPF) in the capacity of Senior Advisor (Data Science). At the Montary Authority of Singapore (MAS), David was formerly the first appointed Chief Data Officer and Head of Data Analytics Group reporting to the agency Deputy Managing Director for Financial Supervision and subsequently Special Advisor (Artificial Intelligence) reporting to Deputy Managing Director for Markets and Development. Within these roles, he led the development of the AI strategy both for MAS and Singapore’s financial sector, and he drove efforts to promote opening cross-border data flows. David has extensive exposure and experience in both industry and academia and he has consistently applied advanced technology with an analytical mindset to shape and deliver innovation. David holds a PhD in Computer Science in the field of Machine Learning from the University of Southampton and graduated from Royal Holloway, University of London with a First Class Honors BSc. in Computer Science and Artificial Intelligence. Out in the “field”, David is more likely to consider himself a data artist instead of a pure data scientist.
