Building Africa’s Virtual Banking Platform | Fintech Founders
October 28 @ 12:00 pm - 12:30 pm
In Africa, 57% of the population do not have a formal bank account. Particularly in Egypt, 67% of society do not have a bank account, and 94% do not have access to credit. In an effort to turn these numbers around, Frans van Eersel established Dopay, a technology platform beyond current existing banking infrastructures for providing financial services to unbanked people in Africa.
Our third episode of the Fintech Founders Series will tell the story of Frans van Eersel, the Founder and CEO of Dopay, who created a virtual banking platform for breaking “the cash cycle” and letting companies open wage accounts for their employees in seconds.
Join Ronit Ghose and Gaurav Dhar to welcome Frans van Eersel to discuss the roadmap to building a virtual banking platform across the Middle East and North Africa, how to be a game-changer by solving practical market challenges, and what can be done to help the unbanked population of the region.
Here is why you should attend:
– Learn how to launch and expand a virtual banking platform in Africa
– Hear an outstanding success story that should be taught in MBA class
– Understand customer needs and learn how to implement innovative ideas for SMEs in emerging markets
