Our Approach at CFTE with AI

CFTE has embraced AI as a pivotal element in financial services education, utilising innovative AI applications for virtual lectures and content delivery, including early experiments with deepfake technology. This approach, while highlighting technical and ethical challenges, points to a future of AI-driven, personalised virtual representations in education, enhancing realism and engagement in online learning.

Different ways to create a Deepfake

Deepfake creation involves two key elements: visual (avatar/video) and audio, with various methods for each, including animating static pictures, using personal videos, or voice recordings, and face swapping. While this technology is rapidly evolving and expanding its practical applications, it faces challenges in realism, cost, and complexity, and raises significant ethical concerns about consent and misuse.

Step by step approach to create a Deepfake

Creating a deepfake involves using tools like HeyGen for video and Descript for audio, requiring processes such as account creation, video and audio uploading, and AI training, with careful synchronisation for realistic output. Despite the ease and increasing accessibility of these technologies, they present challenges in cost, nuances in output quality, and raise important ethical considerations regarding their use.
