Meet your instructor - Duncan Grierson
Founder and CEO Clim8 Invest
Duncan Grierson has been a venture capitalist and entrepreneur in the field of climate technology for 20 years. He has built several cleantech companies in waste-to-biofuel, recycling, solar and EV battery storage, wind turbine composites, and invested in many others, both hardware and software, including digital solutions for the energy transition around EV charging, virtual power plants, flexibility trading, and energy efficiency.
He has raised over £100 million in venture capital from Goldman Sachs, Fidelity, Impax, Itochu, and others.
He is an investor in more than 30 businesses.
He is an EY Entrepreneur of the Year Cleantech award winner and has built and invested in a range of sustainability-focused companies.
He also began his venture capital career with the prestigious TCVC fund in London, Silicon Valley, and Paris. He started his career working for the Magic Circle legal firm Clifford Chance in London and Frankfurt as a private equity attorney.
